Hi friends! It’s been over a week since we’ve last hung out here. Can I just say that this last week has been craaaazzzzy! I can’t even believe that Thanksgiving is this week. It’s just not sinking in. I’ve been so preoccupied that I just blocked it out of my mind. I usually have my Black Friday list made and my game plan together, but I haven’t even browsed the ads yet. Yikes! However, I am preparing to decorate my home for Christmas this week so I’ve been browsing Amazon for some farmhouse Christmas decor that I’ll be sharing with you today.
I did my first ever pop-up show last weekend at Market at the Mill in New Roads, Louisiana. I have been like a mad woman these last few weeks trying to get prepared. It was a great experience, but boy am I glad that stress is over. Whew! I finally feel like I can take a breather. But not for too long because there is still so much on my to-do list. Anyone else have a never ending to-do list? It seems like I add 2 things for every one I scratch off the list. Ugh. I guess that’s the reality of busy mom life.
I have never decorated my house for Christmas before Thanksgiving. Never. It just doesn’t seem right. But (ya gotta love buts), this year may be different. I have been seeing so much beautiful inspiration on Instagram lately that it has really given me the itch to decorate for Christmas. Honesty, if I wouldn’t have been so busy preparing for this show, I’m pretty sure my house would already be decorated for Christmas. Eeekkk. It kinda makes me cringe to say that. I know some of you probably think that’s ridiculous. Poor Thanksgiving. It always gets walked right over. Kinda makes me sad.
Ok, I’m over it now. Let’s talk Christmas!
Fresh Cut Christmas Trees Sign | Knit Stockings | Reindeer Feed Sack | Flocked Table-Top Tree | Bundle of Birch Logs | Wool Christmas Tree | Grainsack Christmas Pillow | Advent Calendar | Galvanized Christmas Buckets
I have actually made a few Christmas DIY signs this year that I’ll be sharing soon. But none of them are as cute as this Fresh Cut Christmas Trees Sign. Those metal laser cut letters on that distressed wood is perfection! This would be so cute to display on a mantel, in a foyer, or even on top of your kitchen cabinets like Joanna Gaines styled hers.
I’ve never had a flocked tree before because they are oh so messy. But I just can’t resist any longer. This Flocked Table-Top Tree is so adorable and is so worth the mess! I’ve already made my purchase and will be sharing my flocked beauty with you all soon. I’m thinking of leaving mine naked because it is beautiful without adding anything to it.
I love to add greenery to Galvanized Christmas Buckets. It’s such a simple way to make a big statement. You can add live or faux greenery. Even the Flocked Table-Top Tree above would be perfect in one of these buckets on side of a fireplace to add to your farmhouse Christmas decor.
Ok, so most of you already know that I absolutely LOVE neutral decor with lots of textures. So when I saw these small and large Wool Christmas Trees, I knew they would be perfect for me! I love the wood elements mixed with the softness of the wool. I already have the perfect place picked out for these beauties.
Um yeah, back to that neutral decor. Ivory Knit Stockings hanging over the fireplace = perfection!
Pillows are a lot like shoes. A woman can never have too many. It’s just not possible. We need pillows for every occasion, just like we need shoes for every outfit. Am I right? I am loving this Grain-sack Christmas Pillow. Anytime you pair grain-sack with a pillow, it’s like a match made in heaven.
I love adding natural elements in my decor. Whether you stack this Bundle of Birch Logs by your fireplace or throw them in a Galvanized Bucket, they are the perfect addition to your farmhouse Christmas decor.
I have wanted one of these Reindeer Feed Sacks forever! I see them on Decor Steals, but they always sell out before I can get to it. Guess what!? I found it on Amazon at an even better price. And you know what else? It’s a Prime item. Yep, you’re welcome friends! 😉 These are so cute to style by hanging on a coat hook in a foyer with some pine branches sticking out the top.
My kids love Advent Calendars. It’s a good way for them to countdown to Christmas and it gives us an opportunity to talk about the reason we celebrate Christmas. A great idea would be to add scriptures in each of the days and pull them out and discuss as you countdown to Christmas.
So who else is ready to decorate for Christmas? Have any of you started yet? I’d love to hear your ideas for farmhouse Christmas decor below.
