Hello friends! The farmhouse foyer reveal is finally here! I have been anxiously awaiting this day. A few months ago, I shared our shiplap install in the foyer (see what the foyer looked like before the reno) and it’s been an empty space ever since. I’ve used the area to stage several of my DIY projects, but other than that, nothing. Just an empty room calling out for some love. I finally got around to decorating it and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all today!
If you read my post about my decor challenge, you know that I was torn between adding a bench or side table in the foyer. After browsing many foyer ideas on Pinterest (you can see my idea board here), I decided that I really wanted to find an old church pew to add to this space. I visited several antique stores and just couldn’t find what I was looking for. Don’t you hate that!? You have an image in your head of exactly what you want and you just can’t find it anywhere. Or you find it, but the price is ridiculous and you just can’t justify spending that much. The dilemmas of home decor. 😉
I was recently in one of my antique booths rearranging some things and decided to shop my space for the foyer. These vintage theater seats were in one of my booths and they were the perfect size for the space. I decided to bring them home to see how they would look. You guys, why did this take me so long to figure out? Oh my goodness, these seats were perfect!!! They gave me all the farmhouse feels that I was looking for. Last week, I posted a picture of my farmhouse foyer reveal on Instagram and the photo won my first hashtag contest. This was so exciting for me!
I love natural wood elements and white together. There is just something about that combination that speaks to me. It is simple, yet classy.
I wanted to create a gallery wall that was not too cluttered. I was able to accomplish this by adding a lovely horse print in black and white, a favorite scripture framed, and the farmhouse coat rack. The buffalo check pillow, Fall Sweet Fall pillow, and plaid blanket add the perfect fall touches. The foyer has this black and white vibe going on and I’m liking it.
The hanging wall basket with the hydrangeas add the perfect touch of softness to this space.
I contemplated adding a rug, but wasn’t sure. What do you all think? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the farmhouse foyer reveal.
This was my first room reveal post and it was so much fun! We are in the process of a few other renovations and I’m looking forward to sharing those with you all soon. You can have a peek of my ideas for my living room [here].
Thanks for stopping by! It truly means so much to me that you would take a few minutes of your day to spend with me. Be blessed, my friends! xoxo
