Last weekend I was in the mood to make a few changes around the house. Oh wait, I’m always in that mood. Haha. I love changing things up. It makes things fun and interesting. This is where my ‘over the headboard’ project comes in.

Since moving into our house, my bedroom has not been one of the rooms I have focused on. Other than the beautiful light fixture we hung a few months ago, it doesn’t have much else going for it. It has lots of mixed match furniture and bare walls. There are lots of ideas floating around in my head, but limited time and funds (story of my life). I knew I wanted something fun and original. I was trying to come up with something that I could do over the headboard with things that I already had.
You may remember the corbels that I gave a chippy white look to using milk paint. I told you that I painted them for a shelf that we never got around to hanging. Well… I finally talked the hubs into hanging it for me last weekend.
I had these copper pots that I picked up from a flea market a while back. Each pot already had 3 loops that you could attach something to to hang them. I just tied some jute rope to each one and then used a small brad nail to attach them underneath the shelf.
The wall baskets were Goodwill finds. I’m not sure about your area, but baskets like these are pretty plentiful in our Goodwill stores and they are usually only a few bucks a piece.
The Always Style Humble & Kind sign is from Teresa at GlamWood Designs. I styled that among the baskets to add a little more dimension.
My bedside lamps are from Hobby Lobby. I love that they have a distressed, chippy look.
I’d love to hear your thoughts about my over the headboard wall. I think it kind of has a bohemian feel and I’m liking it. Now to find a rug for this space. If any of you have one that you’d recommend, I love to hear about it.
I have some exciting projects that I’m working on for next week, so make sure you head back over and check them out. Be blessed, friends!
