Hi there, my friends! I hope you all are getting some springtime weather and you’ve been able to enjoy some outdoor time. I love spring and summer when I get to plant lots of pretty flowers and spruce up my outdoor space. There are some patio ideas floating around in my head so I headed on over to Pinterest for a little inspo to pull my ideas together before I get started on my patio. I’ve decided that I wanted my patio space to have a vintage vibe and I can’t wait to put it all together.
Not only do I love decorating the inside of my home, but I have just as much fun decorating the outside. I think I mentioned recently that my husband and I are in the process of completely redoing the flower beds in the front of our house. I am no green thumb, but I certainly do enjoy being outside and getting my hands in the dirt.

I’m excited to make our way around to the back of our house so I can start implementing these patio ideas I have. We have a beautiful back yard with lots of mature trees and shrubs, but it needs a little TLC.
But, first things first. We got a new puppy for Christmas and she likes to chew EVERYTHING. And everything includes my plants. I had a cute little succulent garden planted in a galvanized wash bucket that she decided to eat. So the first thing that we have to do is designate a fenced off area for her in our backyard so that our plants don’t have to fear being eaten. As soon as we get that done, I’ll be on may way to creating a lovely patio space.
Alrighty friends, grab your favorite beverage and sit back and relax as you let your fingers scroll through these lovely vintage inspired patio ideas.
Vintage Inspired Patio Ideas
Vintage Watering Can & Glass Bottles
Vibeke Design has my heart with all of her vintage potting benches and outdoor spaces. From the rusty patina on the watering can to those vintage glass bottles, this space could not be styled more perfectly.
Galvanized Buckets
Here, she uses a lot of the same items, but just styled them a little differently. I love the old galvanized bucket with the flowers. As Vibeke did, “shopping my space” is something I do often to change up my decor and get a fresh new look. You can check out more of my budget friendly decor ideas {HERE}.
Vintage Crates & Drawers
I love all of the different elements and green hues that Vibeke adds in to her spaces. Planting herbs in the vintage drawers is such a brilliant idea and one that I may have to copy.
Herbs Sign
This adorable potting bench belongs to my sweet friend, Sarah, at Little Vintage Nest. I love the way she combines both old and new to create this vintage garden space. She is masterful at doing this and I get so much inspiration from her. Check out this cute herbs sign she made.
Terracotta Pots & Olive Bucket
How about this space from Faded Charm Cottage! I love the way she styled all of her vintage terracotta pots and that olive bucket is amazing. This is such a gorgeous space with so many textures.
Frames
These empty frames with the floral bouquets hanging from them is such a creative idea for your patio space. You could even suspend them from tree branches to create a beautiful garden space.
Vintage Bottles
I love the way Rebecca Newport used these vintage bottles as vases and suspended them above her table. It reminds me of how I suspended my floral arrangement over my Easter tablescape. It creates such an elegant look and leaves more space on your table for all the good food.
Aren’t these spaces lovely! I’ve rounded up some of the common elements that were used in these vintage inspired patio spaces to help us create our own space. One of my favorite places find vintage goods is on Etsy. You can check out some of my other favorite vintage finds {HERE}.

Who’s inspired by all of these gorgeous patio ideas? Doesn’t it make you want to get outside and decorate your space? I’d love to hear any other patio ideas you have that you may incorporate into your space.
Be blessed, friends! xoxo
Seriously one of the most beautiful posts I’ve seen this spring! Pinned and so inspired. Can I have all this without planting anything?! I have the brownest thumbs of anyone ever in the history of ever! ugh
Oh Cindy, you are so sweet! Thank you for such an encouraging comment!! And I hear ya girl – I have a round-up thumb that kills everything. Luckily the hubs helps keep it all alive. 😉
Looks beautiful Heather! I especially love the hanging bottles. Thanks for all the great ideas!
Thanks so much for stopping by, Wendy! Aren’t those hanging bottles so lovely! I’m seriously thinking about adding some to my back patio. 🙂
