Hi friends! Anyone feeling the holiday madness yet? Surprisingly, I’m not. I’m usually done with all of my shopping and have all of my gifts wrapped and under the tree by now. This year, I’ve barely purchased anything and I have one lonely gift wrapped under the tree (and only because it came gift wrapped). I love looking for those unique Christmas gift ideas for the special people on my list, but this year will be different.
My husband and I have decided this year will be more about the reason we celebrate Christmas, than about gifts. Somewhat because of our budget, but also because in the past we would overbuy and a year later the kids would still have toys in boxes that they never opened because they have so much “stuff.”
My husband shared an article with me this week called The Major Thing. As I read the article, it cemented this Christmas decision that we made. It wasn’t even about Christmas, but about the eulogy of George W Bush and what really mattered in his life.
It reminded me of a devotion I wrote several years ago. But somehow over the last few years, I’ve lost sight of the words that I wrote. I had to go back and read it again to remind myself to slow down and enjoy the true reason we celebrate Christmas.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above…” (James 1:17)
Are you scurrying around in the busy crowds trying to find those last few “perfect gifts” for friends and family? We’ve all been there, right? We don’t want to get them just any gift. We want to get them something special; something that will bring them great joy and happiness when they receive it.
As I was sitting in traffic earlier this week, my mind was consumed with thoughts of where I was going next, who I needed to buy for, and what I should get them. I glanced up and saw a sign that said, “Stop here, we have the perfect gift.”
And that’s when I heard my sweet Father whisper to me, slow down, my daughter. Quiet your soul, and you will realize that there is only one “Perfect Gift.” His name is Jesus. He is the Prince of Peace. Anyone who receives Him will be filled to overflow with joy and happiness. So, if you really want to give the perfect gift this Christmas, share His love! And best of all, this Perfect Gift is free. Jesus has already paid the price.
During this Christmas season, may we keep our focus on celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior. And may we remember to share His love and goodness with all of those around us.

We can share Jesus, the “Perfect Gift,” with everyone, but I know that we still like to show others our love by gifting them with presents also. So today, I’m sharing some unique Christmas gift ideas for those hard to buy for people on your list. I have many of these items and I can attest that they are great products that I use consistently and love. And the ones that I don’t have are at the top of my want list.
1. Gaston Luga Backpack
I absolutely love my backpack from Gaston Luga. It is the perfect size and has lots of pockets for storage. My favorite is the pocket for a cell phone on the back. Before this bag, I was constantly digging through bags to find my phone and it was such a pain.
There are many different styles and colors of bags on the Gaston Luga website. Go take a look and pick out your favorite… um, I mean the one you think your special someone would like best. You can grab it for 15% off with the code beautyforasheshome. Plus you get a free wallet and gift wrapping with every purchase.
My oldest son and I had a little coffee date at the park a few weeks ago and I got him to snap a quick pic of me. I love spending quality time with each of my children individually. It’s a special time to give them all of my attention and hear what’s going on in their life.
2. SquarePops
My family photos from SquarePops are a treasured item! I love the originality of them. They are printed on high gloss 12×12 sheets of metal and they pop off of the wall with a 3D effect. They come ready to hang with a command strip on the back. They are unique Christmas gift ideas for that special someone who already has everything.
I had my photos printed with a filter, but if you want to see the true vibrant color they offer, head over to their website to take a look! You can also check out my Instagram Story to learn more about them.
3. Nespresso Lattissima
The best coffee maker that ever existed! The end.
The Nespresso Lattissima was a bit of a splurge for me, but I can assure you that it has paid off over the years that we’ve had it. I can’t tell you how much money I’ve saved by making my lattes at home instead of running to Starbucks. I’ve even mastered Iced Lattes, Peppermint Mocha Lattes and Pumpkin Spice Lattes using this machine. My husband swears they are better than Starbucks!
4. JORD Watch
I have gotten so many compliments on my JORD watch. If you missed it, you can check out my blog post featuring my JORD watch and all the things I love about it. But one of my absolute favorite things about it that makes this watch one of my unique Christmas gift ideas, is that it is engraveable for that special someone.
5. Ring Video Doorbell
This little Ring video doorbell device allows you to see, hear and speak to visitors when they are at your door. And the crazy part is, you don’t even have to be home to do this. You can do it from your phone without the person ever knowing that you aren’t home.
6. Roomba 690
My husband and I purchased a Roomba 690 for ourselves last Christmas. That is when you know you are truly adulting… when you get excited over purchases like vacuum cleaners. But we are a busy family of 5 and every little bit of time that we can save is treasured. The fact that we can turn this on from our phone and have the floors cleaned while we are busy doing life has made this one of our best investments.
7. Echo Spot
Basically, the Echo Spot is like a mini computer with voice command. Want to know the weather, just ask. You want to record a shopping list, just speak. Want to listen to a song, just say so. Want to turn on your lights, just say it. Want to know who’s at your front door, just pair this with your Ring video doorbell. My gosh, this sounds better than having a servant. I don’t have one of these, but I think I just talked myself into getting one. lol.
8. Flash Drive for iPhone
You guys, I didn’t even know this iPhone flash drive existed until I started researching items for this blog post! My family is constantly having to delete items from their phones to make more space for apps, photos, videos and such. This would be the perfect solution! I’m thinking this would be a great stocking stuffer for each of them this year.
9. Nest Thermostat
This Nest thermostat will help make your home not only smart but energy efficient. With just a few manual adjustments, the Nest Thermostat can learn your habits and start to save you money by automatically adjusting the temperature. This is another one of those things that you can adjust with a few taps from your phone. Man, how did we even do life before smart phones!?
10. HP Sprocket Portable Printer
I love the convenience of being able to take pictures from my phone. But now that we have this option, I never develop photos anymore. I miss having albums to look though and photos to place in frames. This HP Portable Printer would be the perfect little device to print those special photos to put up on the fridge or in your office.
I hope these unique Christmas gift ideas have given you a few ideas for those hard to buy for loved ones that may still be on your list. I’d love to hear any other unique Christmas gift ideas that you may have. I love hearing and learning about new products. There is so much new technology coming out these days that I feel like this old school mama can’t keep up.
Wishing you all the happiest of holidays! Be blessed!! xoxo
