I hope you all have had a blessed week. I’m back at joining my friends on Sunday mornings to share some inspiration with you all. In addition to sharing some inspiration for your home, I’m also going to share some inspiration for your heart on these Sunday morning posts.
Have you ever felt like some of the things you do don’t really matter? That no one sees the little mundane tasks that you do from day to day. Do you ever lay your head on your pillow at night and wonder if all that you did that day even made a difference?
“But I said, “I have labored in vain; I have spent my strength for nothing at all. Yet what is due me is in the Lord’s hand, and my reward is with my God.” Isaiah 49:4
All of us can become oppressed thinking that what we do holds no value. Or maybe we feel that others don’t value or approve of what we do. However, nothing you do goes unrecognized in God’s eyes. No matter how insignificant you think it may be, he sees every small detail. From the mom feeding her newborn at 2 am, to the dad who has taken out the trash for the millionth time.
The Lord measures the faithfulness of our labor, not our success. So the next time you wonder if you’re making a difference, remember that God sees and your reward is in Heaven, the greatest of all rewards.
